The gun will do just fine. The main reason for shorter barrels on today's turkey guns is it is easier to swing on a bird and gets hung up in brush less when running and gunning.

But if yo sit a blind that barrel length will not hinder you at all.

Call them up close - less than 30 yards and any shotgun will do the job on a head shot.
