no...the tiny trashcan serves as a lid to cover the corn from rain and animals...actually i just put mine up today..i will get some pics tomorrow...i made a mistake in the size of the pvc pipe...mine has a diamiter of 6 inches accross about...but i just got some pipe that we had laying around and used it...i reccomend you to do the same...ours however will hold just under one bag so you have some left to spred around it....when you see the pic you will understand a whole lot better and should build from the pic...i actually had the holes at the bottm a little lower more like 3 inches from the bottom...and used hole diggers to get it started and finished off with a rubber mallet...you need the post or something to tie the pipe to...its a must...the only downside to this is the coons make a mess with it...
