Default RE: Muzzleloader expertise needed.

kcison,
I' m an avid bowhunter also and since I did not buy a new bow this spring I bought the Encore 209x50. I bought the Encore because of its versatility and I bought an extra 30-06 barrell and forearm to go with it. I can' t tell you that it is more accurate or better than the Omega, but it is really well made and my Encore seems to be accurate. In Alabama we can' t use a scope on BP guns but I have a scope on the 30-06 barrell. I can shot the BP and then change to the 30-06 and the 30-06 is dead on every time. I have had no problems with accuracy what so ever when swapping either barrell. I have tried several loads in the Encore and it seems to like 95 grains of 777 (loose powder) and 330 grain keith nose hp sabots (precision bullets). Good luck with which ever BP gun you go with. I thought archery was addictive but there are so many bullet and powder combinations to play with that I am now addicted to BP and archery. By the way from your post you were looking for muzzleloader expertise just to let you know I am about as new to muzzleloading as you can get (5 months) as this is the first BP gun I have ever owned. But there are a lot of guys here that can help you.
