I relly don't think you could ever get it done in Iowa. For one it takes a lot of area with no fences or at least very few. I don't know if you have a large enough area that would support elk any more. And even if you did the farmers would have a fit. They are trying to get them stock in the Meadow Valley Wildlife area here in WI and the farmers and cranberry growers are throwing a fit. I don't get it, that area is huge and they still cry. It would only give the wolves more to eat, heck maybe we would have more deer around then.
