I can post person after person who hunts with both xbow and bow that says they are very much alike in the range of the weapon yet you blow it off.

As far a one weapon deer season..... I said some states can support it and do. They have a huge population and can handle it. If my state could support it I would to.
Why could they not support it? You apply for tags, and you get your tags, and when you kill your deer, your done. Easy as that. Your state, which I am fimiluar with, has a kill number, they know what number they need to reach. Quit being an elitist and let it be choice. Wonder how many would arrowgun hunt then. I know I would still bow hunt.
I like to gun hunt and bow hunt so I'm set either way.
