Is an unloaded gun a bow?

Ohio is about 50/50 crossbow/other.
Are there any records showing the 100's of crossbows in use there are responsible for a higher % of accidents? If I was making the claim crossbows are more dangerous, I would be looking there for info to support my theory.
No it's a boat anchor.

What's an unloaded gun? A club more or less.

Had some guy blast his foot with one recently. Tried to climb down with it loaded. I'll just let time make the case for me, then what? I say it will and you heard it here first.

Got friends here who are xbow hunters. Might use one myself just for a thrill, but I have set them up for them and it's why I call them boat anchors and don't feel like they have any advantage at all, in fact I think my compound is a disadvantage over a long bow. Mines heavy compared to those and I carry enough weight in and out of some places I hunt. The thought of carrying a stick that light is very attractive. A stick that light compared to an xbow is the stuff dreams are made of. I just can't imagine wrestling an xbow around in the woods trying to stealth my way in, shooting the thing that makes as much noise as a gun and then trying to reload it after the shot perched in a tree.

I'm just as happy for my friends when they put it all together as I am for any other hunter who gets it done. Got nothing against them so don't feel I'm in the camp of people who have issues, not me. More choices the better I say. Now, if a private organization like Pope&Young want to excluded any weapon for whatever reason that's their business and if getting in there is the goal a person better learn to shot the weapon needed. If a person doesn't like it start your own group.
