You may have turned one ring you might have trash under one ring or a burr if you had several scopes and rings and mounts apart you may have unintentionally switched some rings or screws. sometimes it makes a difference which ring is in front or back. Is it possible the scope was dropped or put in a bind strong enough to bend the tube? Some thing is considerably out of line. Check for the possibility of wrong sized screws allowing play in the mount.
