I hunted with a TenPoint Pro-Slider crossbow for a month or so after shoulder surgery one year. I took a (questionable) 25 yard shot at a doe walking almost straight towards me, ever-so-slightly quartering to the right. The bolt tipped with a Grim Reaper entered just in front of the right front shoulder, exited way back low on the right behind the ribs, then passed through her right hindquarter.
Naw, if it it'd been an "arrowgun" shooter, you'd have felt an itch, looked down and wondered where the blood was coming from.
On a side note, I couldn't wait to get back to my compound. It's easier to use than a crossbow.
