I generally stay away from Remington's Rim fire rifles. I had a 597 once, lost the spring that gives you the "last shot hold open" feature. They wanted 40 bux for the part and 30 to ship it. It was like the tiniest of things and here it was going to cost almost 100 dollars to replace, gahhh.
