I can respect your opinion on the subject but your fears are unfounded.

There was a kid who dropped his gun out of the deerstand a few miles from where I hunt a couple years ago. The gun went off and shot him in the head. I heard the ambulance that day. Does that one incident prove anything ? It's very sad but is an isolated thing.

Some people form an opinion about a race of people from a single incident or two also. That's what you have done. You lump all xbow people as lazy and danerous and thats not true in the least. Some are but most are not.... just like and other hunting demographic.

Yes, walking with a loaded xbow can be dangerous and I wouldn't do it. Walking with a loaded gun can also be dangerous. Crossing a fence with a loaded gun can be dangerous. All weapons can be dangerous and must be treated with respect.

When I was a kid I was walking with a shotgun on my shoulder and I didnt have the safety on and I hit the trigger. It went off and if someone had been behind me it would have killed them. I scared me to death. I got lucky and learned a valuable lesson....... My cousin was shot and killed by his son in a tragic quail hunting accident. I know how dangerous hunting can be. I also know more times than not it is safe but it's up to the individual to be safe.
