Yes, and no, It depends n wher eyou live. Der can hve sompletely different seasonal home ranges. often at least two, one for late fall/winter and one for spring through summer. Here in MN farmland deer, that have aaccess to big wwoods, are on the same propeties from about May until mid September. Then they often move sometime between Sept 10 to October 20 or so. But, if you archery hunt beginning in Sept, you ned to know wher ethey are now, and then you have to re-scout in October for gun season, and you may have to re-scout if they move in late November or early December to winter ranges.


When I guided, I didnt' like to leave things up to chance. I needed dead deer on the ground for the clients. So, I'd scout almost every other day, at least 2 times a week if I could, to keep track of them. How else are you going to know where they are and what they are doing?
