Sometimes I thnk many of us rely too much on gadgets and gimmicks to get our deer. It still all boils down to location, which means you have to scout. With the advent of game cameras it is a lot easier than it used to be, but I actually enjoy getting out in the woods and looking for and interpreting deer sign. To me it is much of the challenge of deer hunting. The kill is anti-climatic if you choose the right spot at the right time.

I want to savor every hour out there, not get it done and over with so I can go back to the drudgery of life. Scout more - see more.
