I have hunted with slug guns my whole life every since I was 16 and old enough to deer hunt I have a mossberg 695 bolt action it will shoot and kill a deer out to 200 yards I have killed deer to this distance. The 870 with a rifled barrel is okay as well. I really like the looks of the savage 220 though and they are very accurate it all depends on what you can afford.
