My Grandfather, would tie a dog on one side of his house.
Then take a rabbit fur, and let the dog smell it good.
Then with a string tied to it, drag it around to the other side on his house.
And drag it around about 50 yards.
Then let the dog go, at the spot where he started dragging the rabbit fur.
He always had good rabbit dogs.
