the .270 is right in between the 260 and 7mm-08, the .277 and .284(7mm) are essentially the same diameter, .007 difference? could be argued that both the 260 and 7mm-08 are better options than a 270-08 would be.
Well then,I guess there should be no .257rbts since theres only .007 difference between the 257 and 264(260)? Theres actually a big difference between a 130gn .284 and 130rg .277, in sectional density.
In my opinion we really have no need for a .270-08,
IMO we have no need for anything besides 22lr, 223, 243, 30-06 and 375hh, but I just find it odd that there is no 308based .277
