yep my range rod has a nice thick handle and i just pull down with my upper body weight. I did notice however with the Barricade lube, The fouling of the JSG did react to it differently, almost like a sticky feeling type. You'll see what i mean when i take some pictures of the patches. You can see the thick black fouling on them.
