I'm just thinking I bet that 58 has the trajectory of a rainbow.
Not really all that bad
Bronko,
so long as you're in an iron sight frame of mind. Back in May I shot some targets at 50, 75 and 100 yards using 110 grains of GOEX FFg as measured in a TC U-View measure. Using a 6 o'clock hold on a three-inch bull, it grouped just about in the center of the bull at 50, just below the bottom edge of the bull at 75, and two inches below the bottom edge at 100.
A .575 ball that weighs around 285 grains can't match the trajectory of a 250 or 300 grain conical out of a .50 caliber, even at the same velocity. Still, if you're thinking 100 yards/iron sights, you're at no real disadvantage.
