Default Remington 600 6.5mm Rem. Mag. rebarreled?

Considering re-barreling, and have a few questions...

First, can the 600's be re-barreled?

This has an 18" barrel, when the 673 was redone a few years back I recall it having a 22" barrel, figure this cartridge should have something in the 22-24" barrel range for ideal velocity, your thoughts? Still want it to be handy though and accurate.

I'm thinking a 22" #2 contour w/ straight flutes, your suggestions? If I went to 24" what contour would you want, #2? #3?

Also am I ruining this rifle for resale if I strip the 18" mohawk barrel, ie vent ribbed? or doing it a favor?

Recently read up on this cartridge, seems it was almost the original short mag, figure Remington re-released ammo for it to maybe catch on the craze? 120gr@3200fps, was that calculated in a 24" barrel anyone know? rem. factory ammo?

Thanks in advance for any info!
