Default Taurus PT1911

When I had purchased my PT1911 about 18 months ago and reported on it I received several negative feedbacks on it along with some positive ones from other owners. I was invited to a bowling pin shoot last night and competed against shooters using Kimbers, Les Baers, Ed Browns and other high dollar 1911s. There were also a few SIGs thrown in. Well to "toot my own horn" and praise my $500 Taurus, I walked away with first place. Not bad for the first time shooting any handgun competition of any sort. The pistol performed flawlessly as usual and made short work of the pins. Even when one didn't clear the table, a quick follow-up knocked it off supporting the pistol's accuracy. I have a few thousand rounds thru this piston and it has never malfunctioned. No jams, stove pipes, nothing.
