I have been training her to bird hunt. She is very good for a young dog, listens and scouts flawlessly in the field, but won't listen to anyone besides me and my dad. She doesn't get enough exercise now, and got a little fat. My question is, should I dig an electric fence for her around my huge backyard for my mom to control her, or will this cause more harm?

young dog will do that. you just need to spend time with dog.......
