Default Mountain / Sheep Rifle?

Browning Abolt Ti, 5-3/4 lbs, 23" barrel, $1000

Remington Alaskan Ti, 6 lbs, 24" barrel, $1400

270 WSM vs. 300 WSM

Think I need both! haha.

Doesn't have to just be for sheep, basically just a lightweight mtn. rifle.

The 270wsm seems ideal for antelope-caribou, past that I'm not sure...

The 300wsm seems pretty good for anything cept maybe some brown bears. Which brings up the point of hunting sitka deer, goat/sheep in grizzly country...? The 270 might be perfect for sheep but if you run into a griz wouldn't you rather have a 300? but of course wouldn't you rather have a 270 for antelope than a 300? also flatter bullet of the 270 seems nice.

Open to better rifle/bullet suggestions as well though like the idea of a short action round.

Btw, is there a way to calculate the velocity loss from 24" to 23" in both 270wsm and 300wsm? I assume the 300wsm would lose less velocity than the 270 but just how much?
