First of all learn to shoot your bow correctly. Do all the ground work you can first, learn to shoot solid groups, even the best bow hunters misjudge distance.
Then read all you can about bow hunting, there a lot of stuff on the Internet. If you can get with a group of guys you know that have been in the sport a while and glean all you can from them..
