I hunt in timber land with no real open areas, all of my plots are 10 to 40 feet wide and in strips from 100 to 150 or more yards. I guess you could say we plant our shooting lanes. Top whatever trees or bushes block the sun and you can plant whatever you like. We try to pick east west facings so we dont have to top pines. Works just fine for us.
