I go to college about an hour and half away from home. My lab is only over a year old. My parents keep her in the kennel where she has about 25'x25' space to run around. She is very energenic and likes to run around. My problem is that my dad works all day and my mom really can't control her. The dog listens to me and my dad only, so she is fine with me and my dad. I have been training her to bird hunt. She is very good for a young dog, listens and scouts flawlessly in the field, but won't listen to anyone besides me and my dad. She doesn't get enough exercise now, and got a little fat. My question is, should I dig an electric fence for her around my huge backyard for my mom to control her, or will this cause more harm?
