But Remington doesn't make the damn thing in a left handed model.

Gets pretty humid around here in east Texas, and I worry about the blued steel rusting if I get lazy and forget to wipe it down after a rainy hunt or a July/August late night pig spotlighting session when we're getting 99% humidity.
