Thanks for the suggestions. I came up with a cardboard cutout of a deer - as long as I hit the cardboard the arrow penetrates the bag. No bouncing off.
I' ve been looking for someone that sells small hay bales but it seems all the farmers make the huge round ones anymore.
It will be nice to have a live target to shoot at soon!
