yes, decoys work.
I places 3 on a side of a clear cut looking like they were just about on the vanish off into the dark timber. and called to a group of elk i saw working the bottom draw heading away.
my calls got their attention but the decoys got their eyes-brain.
Had a cow and a spike come all the way across a valley just to meet up with them. supprise to them. wack filled my tag, meet in the freezer.
they will fit in the back side of you day pack. only weigh a pound or less.
It's like going out on a turkey hunt with out your call, you would'nt do that would you?
