climbers do last a lifetime, but only if they are taking care of, as for the saddle, there is a special oil you can rub on once a yr to make them last alot longer, or when they get old replace them, just as you would change the chain on ur climber. as for young man comment on the basspro review section a 68 yr old man, wrote a review saying how much he liked it...
