For a 55lb recurve, 2115's should work. I shoot 2018's with 52lb longbow and 53lb recurve.

But, I shoot 30" arrows. I think you would have been fine with 31" arrows or so. 27" is short.

Whats your draw? I shoot 1916's out of a 40lb recurve I have.

Whats a real kicker is better your release gets, more stiff arrow you will need. Not sure of your release or how good it is. But when I started, I was also shoot 1816's and at the end of one year of shooting I moved to 2016s.
