Regarding the boss system: If you' re a serious varminter, it might help you. Other than that it' s my opinion that it' s a great marketing tool. The A-bolt will normally shoot far better than acceptable groups without the boss and the extra margin of accuracy you can achieve with the boss is not usable in the field.
All the data shows that the boss actually works...it actually improves accuracy. However is it useful to you?
If it took 6" groups to 1" groups at 100 yards I' d say get it. But it doesn' t do that.....it takes 1 1/4" groups to .75" groups. 1 1/4" groups is 100% acceptable for any hunting of big game I' ve ever done and will ever do in my lifetime.
