I don' t own a rifle with the boss system on it but was in the same field when a friend shot his and the muzzle blast was very uncomfortable for all that were there. I have a Raging Bull that is ported and it also is very loud but not as loud as his 30-06 was. Just remember to keep hearing protection on if you buy a rifle with the Boss.
