i have owned a wby 30-06 since 1970 and it has taken it' s share of deer.i thought i always wanted a 300 wby mag.i traded a 700 rem 30-06 for a new 300wby mag.i have a swift 4x12x40 on it and it is sighted in at 250 yds.the only complaints i have are terrible trigger pull , recoil and noise.i have used all the trigger adj and still have 10#pull [it seems like it].if i could get the trigger pull to 1.5-2# i would like it if it drops them in their tracks like everyone says.
