TenPoint Crossbows recommends string and cable changes every 2-3years on all of our models, that includes our recurves, to maximize the bows performance. We offer at our factory, an "Early Bird Special", April 1st through July 31 to change string and cables at no labor cost. The bow is then back to factory specifications and ready to shoot. Something to think about when weighing your debate between a compound versus recurve and what company you may decide to go with.
