I've been thinking about getting a compound crossbow but the major thing holding me back is re-stringing. Barnett says that their strings can be fired 200 times, so would that mean that after every 200 shots I need to send my bow in for re-stringing? If so then that's a huge disadvantage compared to the recurve which you can re-string on your own.
