When I went to buy a scope for my White Ultra Mag I went to a gun shop. I know the owner and he's a square shooter. I asked him to recommend a scope for the rifle. He kind of laughed and said he could sell me a lot of expensive scopes but he recommended the Nikon Pro Staff in 2-7x32mm. He said he sells a lot of them scopes and no one ever brings one back in, for service or trade.
He also said their light gathering ability is excellent, their clarity is outstanding, they have excellent eye relief, and a great warranty. I did end up buying the scope, and liked it so much I have bought two more for other rifles.
That Pro Staff has sat on top of my White for hundreds of poundings shooting a large conical bullet. Its on Warne QR mounts, and goes back to zero each time. Its a great scope. The only two I like better is my Nikon Omega without the BDC (I do not need one either) and my Bushnell 3200. They were more money though. But not really better quality, I like them for their 40mm.
You will find that 2-7x32mm is all the scope that rifle needs unless your shooting out past 200 yards. Then I might go with a BDC.
