RE: Will you shoot a doe with a yearling?
I' ll admit to being a bit hesitant to shoot a mother with young ' uns with her, but with our waaaay outta whack doe to buck ratio, we have to thin out some does . . . and the fawns are old enough to survive.
An added benefit is that the research shows that, when the mother doe is killed, the male fawns usually remain in the area rather than being run off. You help improve the ratio two ways by taking the doe with fawns.
