Default deer plan public comment meeting

I went to the public comment meeting yesterday. I was surprised to see
Chris Rodenberry there to answer questions. I asked several questions about DMAP, posted land, CAC recommendations, and 2nd week doe season. I was at the meeting for about 1½ hours just milling around listening to others comments and questions. There were 4 guys in there early to mid 20’s that were tickled with the program happy to see fewer deer if given the perceived chance at a large buck. To bad those young guys did not have a few more years under their belt they would have then realized those bucks were always there. The vast majority of those there had very few questions for the PGC representatives. Primarily they just had comments as to how devastated the deer herd was. When I left I kind of felt sorry for some of those boys in attendance they were getting a tong lashing. Of the 20 or so folks I emailed about going I don’t think any went to the event. There response to me was the game commission is going to do what they want no matter what we say so why waste the time. From the responses I got from Mr. Rodenberry I must to admit they are right. But my feeling is if you don’t voice your concerns you can’t expect change. if this meeting is coming to an area near you please go and let those in charge know how you feel. God knows they got a tong lashing from the 2c hunters attending this event
