No kiddin? I heard mulberry looks simular and oxidizes like osage.

When you take off that sapwood,let me know if the spring wood is reddish. Reason being, is I have a stave that is supposal mulberry. Wide rings. Gold like osage. But the early wood is reddish. I honestly don't know what it is.
