I believe that the first shot of a practise session is sometimes the one that means the most.......its probably your most " natural" sight picture, draw, and release.....if its a 10 ringer, then every thing is cool.
Bowdacious I agree 100% with that, when you are hunting you only get one shot, unless your name is 5 shot!

Ah Ha......the Bow sling or wrist strap isn' t to help you stabilize the bow.....its real function is just to keep you from shooting the BOW out of your hand.....I shoot with my hand completely open....no grip at all that way I don' t torque the bow.
If your bow sling is too tight that maybe a problem that when fixed may help you shoot tighter groups!
The way I know I have released clean is when the bow pops forward and my release hand goes straight back.
