Default RE: oiling cams

If your bow is an older model with Wood/Fiberglass laminated limbs, stay away from lubricants that is petroleum based. Petroleum products will break down the glue and can cause premature delaminating around the axle hole. In other words, a bad day. Solid glass limbs on newer bows will not have this problem.

Any synthetic type lubricant will work, be sure to do it well in advance of the deer season, and use it sparingly. A little bit will go a long ways. Hoppe' s used to make a bow cam lubricant that worked great.
