So to be consistent with this kind of thinking, both Burris and Leupold are “………….one of the least reliable and durable scopes on the market except for the really cheap (Tasco, Simmons, etc.) brands.”
Same empirical evidence through extensive testing as your, right ???
I don't know why you want to make a big deal of my opinion. You are going too far. My opinion is based on owning and using many dozens of scopes of different brands (including Burris) and being with other hunters that have had problems that I have witnessed. I was there, saw the scopes, shot a couple of them on the range afterwards, and helped follow a long blood trail of the gut shot bull. It is my opinion and as I have clearly stated it is based on facts involving several failures (not a just a single "lemon"), so yes my opinion is empirically derived.
The other guy you mentioned seems like a good guy, but he has had very limited experience with scopes - yet I am not about to mock his opinion, or yours, as you are trying to do with mine.
I see you are a Burris fan and hope you have great success with your scopes.
