It is no trend ,it helps to have one in your vest on many different situations.

Boat Paddle box calls have fallen into this bracket for many years. Tube calls are also another call that can get the tone out there. These such calls may sound bad up close but put a little distance between you and the high pitch sound and you'll hear a whole different ball game in the turkey woods...
