I am not a fan of Weaver mounts, but if they are set correctly, and I have set at least a dozen for my buds ... then the scope should have had a ton of adjustment to get it "zeroed". I'd like to ad my thoughts on Nikon's Monarch scopes. It may just be coincidental, but I have had 2 and was not pleased with either. They were on used rifles that I had bought. One was a 50 and the other a 40 mm. Both were variable. Something like 3x9's. For the MSRP and based upon my Nikon Venturer binos (which are superb), I was expecting crisper images to the edges and far better low light performance. Everybody has their opinions, and mine is that the $600 +/- for the Monarch would be wiser spent for the Zeiss Conquest. I had no problems adjusting these Monarch's to zero and had no problem selling them as "take-offs" ... so for sure some folks like 'em.
