The only thing I can think of is I set my stand and skins out in the hot sun all day before I put them on. The stand then sat in a hot outside building from May until September before I actually used the stand.
I have a few friends who are using the newer Summits with the skins and they have not had any problems.
Contact Summit, they have always been good to me.
