Hunting
for guns is almost as much fun as hunting
with them. I've been exchanging e-mails with a Coastguardsman stationed in Mobile, AL - dickering over a Cherokee and Hawken. Here's part of one I received from him today.
That is funny you mention a .58 Renegade. A guy that I used to shoot with has
one that he built from a kit and he used to baby that thing. The bluing on it is phenomenal and all the hardware has been blackened instead of being brass. I always liked that gun. If I speak with him the next time I am home I will certainly ask him about the gun for you.
Both of the guns that we have are at my parents house in NW Florida. I get over that way about once a month or so. I will get my Dad to take some pictures of both of the guns and I will send them to you when I get them. We can work something out after that.
