i have a 686 4" that i bought in 91. i have shot thousands of rounds through it . i took it to ALETA (police acad.)most shots have been double action. no trouble . i did notice that in s&w service manual they did have a long section on timing.but i never really read it in depth. i guess there are good ones and bad ones. lemons come in all products.
