Not the same scope, but I ordered a Leatherwood from him, one using the ART external cam technology for range compensation, right when it came out. It was specifically designed for MLs.
The glass was mediocre at best, quality of construction poor. The external cam mechanism bound up and was not adjustable. I contacted Leatherwood and all they said was disassemble it and clean/oil it. The whole thing was full of fine metal shavings, but it worked when I got it back together.
I put about 5 shots through it before some sort of object appeared in the periphery and stayed there for the life of the scope. I hunted with it about 4 seasons and put hundreds of shots through it before it went south on me a couple years ago.
Personally I would not buy another Leatherwood unless someone else showed me a newer one and the quality had drastically improved.
