In deep snow country deer yard up in dense conifer groves. To prevent disturbing them during this harshest of all seasons we wait until they break loose from their yards. This keeps them alive, and gives us concentrated areas to find the sheds. Please don't disturb deer in their yards, it can prove fatal as they use so much energy wading in deep snow.
