Yes - Wind can be a problem but with the muffs you can adjust both treble and bass to cut it down a bit/
The bird can sound much closer than it really is. So be aware of that.
I wish the head band was adjustable on the muffs so I could move it from on top of my head to behind my head. Taht alone would make it more comfortable.

But it brought my hearing back so at least I don't go in the wrong direction once I hear a Gobble.
I also use them to keep score at my Trap club as I can now hear the softest voice asking for a "Pull" and actually hear the spent shell hit the ground. A sound long ago forgotten.
They are designed to muffle sounds over 85 decibals which actually helps protect your hearing.
At the trap club the guns being fired sound like a soft pop........
Battery life is good if you remember to turn them off.
