For an O/U I like wood and that's what most are built with. Browning offers a few in synthetic, but I've never actually laid hands on one. Wood is usually heavier which can be good or bad depending. Heavier is better for felt recoil and swing through, but lighter is better for carrying all day.
You've got some pretty good choices there. Citori,391,1100,Sx3,Franchi.....At this point you've got to see which one talks to you. That's the advice I got from a good guy at my local guitar shop. I was looking for my first one, at age 38 no less, and he showed me 5 or 6 that fit my budget and were good for a beginner. After that he said the rest is up to you. So for 3 months I'd go by at least once a week and sit down and play each one. Eventually, I started noticing things I liked and didn't like and got the one that suited me best.
So, it's up to you now. Get what you like, and take advice with a grain of salt.
I like what I like because its what I like..........get it?
Good luck...and we'll be expecting a full report on your findings!!
